Yep, believe it or not, its Christmas day over here....
From 16.00 hrs onwards there were 450 Km of traffic jams with people trying to get home.

When I first came over here the Dutch did not do the 25th as such as this was their "Christmas" present giving day and still is.
The 25th only kicked in over here later on due to commercialism.

The 25th & 26th are not so much a family thing over here, most people go out to eat.
A mate of mine owns a restaurant just down the road from me and he is bombed out Christmas day & Boxing day, you have to book well in advance, oh, and you can forget getting a 'traditional' Christmas dinner, even if you are invited to eat at a friends house.

Yeah, when my mates have finished opening presents with their kids and the little ones are tucked up in bed we will be off down the bar for a couple of cold ones.
Oh, and the bloody fireworks are getting chucked about again already and that is only supposed to happen on New Years Eve....

Well whatever it is st nick or xmas have a gud H.T. and dunna get tooo pished .
Then you can do it all agin ont 25th ha ha.
Wer currently in Oz an from past experience
Its a bit of a funny one ,just another day at the beach in temps of 30 deg .but someones gotta do it.

Just got back from the boozer mate......:beer
Have a good one even if you are sweating your nuts off, its bloody freezing over here....:(
