That has happened to the peach trees on some years. The branches usually support the fruit. But every so many years, the tree goes crazy and produces twice as many peaches and we have to cut some planks to prop up the heavy branches so they don't break under the weight.Mmmm plums. Spent a while a few years ago working on an organic farm in South Wales and they had many varieties of plums. Was a bumper crop that year, too, which was a bit of a shame as branches started snapping under the weight of the plums just before they were ripe enough to eat. What a waste, and I detest waste.
