Thanks guys and gals, much appreciated. All's well here. I haven't been on for a while but I've been lurking and keeping up with things. Fred died last September and to be honest after that I lost interest in a lot of things. I've still got both Zeds and even picked up another hard top, this time a Weissman and got it at a bargain price. Nobody wanted it because the guy sold the fitting kit separately. Surprisingly though I picked one up on German Ebay from a Dutch seller for 150 Euros.
I recently changed my job too, I'm still doing the engineering surveying but working nearer home and sleeping in my own bed every night.
After Fred died I wasn't in a hurry to get another dog too soon but Jill saw Bram, a 10 month old Malinois on RSPCA website. It looked like he was in last chance saloon and looking for his third home in his short life. If your not familiar with the breed you need to understand that they are manic, 100mph crazy dogs. The military use them for search and rescue, protection, etc. Our son, who is RAF Military Police worked with them in the Falklands and warned us that we were in for a hell of a ride. Anyway, we went for it, we applied for him and got him, I suppose mainly because our son was a trained military working dog handler. We've had Bram for nearly 6 months now and it's been eventful to say the least
So, everyone meet Bram
This is the video our son sent me to look at when I was thinking about taking on the challenge. It scared the crap out of me to be honest, but " in for a penny, in for a pound" as they say.
