Thanks Shelly, Jack and Tony, although this birthday is not really one to remember!
All this week I've had bad neck and shoulder pain and stiffness which has prevented me from doing all that was planned for my Birthday week.
So no taking cakes and Bucks Fizz (don't say that quickly!) to Table Tennis, no Theatre trip, and worst of all, no Go Kart racing this evening at Cromer! Me and some of my chums, including Richard Howard from this forum have been Go Karting once or twice a month for over 2 years now, and recently some of us have entered proper races, both sprints and endurance races. I have been lucky enough to have 2 podium finishes in my first 5 races, not bad for a 70 year old (71 now!). as all the other drivers are at least 25 years younger than me and my chums. It's a sprint race tonight, qualifying, heats and finals, and the last race of the series.... Bummer!
I've been maxing out on painkillers, which dull the pain somewhat, but if it's no better tomorrow I'll phone the Docs again. They originally said it was a muscle spasm. I'm beginning to think it could be an infection.
Anyone on the forum fancy an arranged trip to Cromer for some Karting, and Fish and Chips on the seafront (or something) for lunch next summer?
