Makes them look pretty amateur unfortunately.
Got to say if had been my work if the depot hadn't refunded the customer as soon as that went to customer services and the area manager had looked into it refund would definitely be given ( you can't really charge for something you ain't fixed)

It is so very difficult to find an honest garage around here, even for tyres etc. I'm lucky, I've been a mechanic since I was an egg, but even I need tyres, MOT's etc.
There seems to be a weird atmosphere in these places, where they seem to tell you how good they are, and how anyone else isn't, and any car that is not the same as theirs, is crap.
I could tell you stories that would curl your toes.
 
That guy was good at opening the bonnet. No problem at all with the bonnet opening procedure, all good in that department.

I know what you mean, after a lifetime in the motor trade. But sometimes you still get surprised.
