Just in from work and the gaffer (Mrs) just told me that the results are back from her dodgy knee,,,,,,, problem is it's not her knee, it's coming from her hip,,,..... Been having a chat and her consultant told her it could be 6+ months before she gets an op and the way it is, she may have to stop work in the next few week due to the wear on the bone....

Looks like it will have to be done privately, so may have to say bye bye to my Zed and perhaps one or more of my bikes......

Gutted, but who knows, may not come to that,,, however, I do need to get the old geezer out working as soon as she can hahah.

Good luck to Mrs "Disky" with the op, speedy recovery. Hope you get to keep your Zed. On the up side, when the C-in-C Got her new knee she got a 2 year license to park anywhere she liked (Blue badge), which was nice ;)

Not good. Its a bugger that the waiting times are so long for operations. I see my consultant for the second time next week to arrange my operation on the prostate only been 3 months since the Catheter went in. Mind at least i dont have a bag anymore strapped to my leg

My dads had a hip replacement recently. It made a big difference to his mobility and he was walking proper within 48 hours of being home. Hope you get things sorted and you don't have to sell the zed.

Nice one mate. The thought process changed some years ago in that they get you up and moving toot sweet to bed it in. Yvonne was out of bed and walking the next morning after her knee replacement. Now leaping tall buildings, by comparison.

Yeah. TBF it was V painful for some time and the knee would dance about of it's own accord occasionally when the nerves were knitting back together.
