Grumpys on a fitness plan.

Used to be able to swim 1,500m at a reasonable pace without stopping. All you need to do is count up and down the pool rather than being slaves to the readout on the display.
I can see all this fitness talk is going to shame me into using the rowing m/c some

Good! So it should Ian. I was shamed into it by my weight gain since coming out of hospital. So if I was shamed so should you be!

My weight is stable although I could do with loosing 15-20lb.
During summer months I up the walking to around 8-10 miles per day. I'd rather be out walking in the fresh air than stuck on a machine though. At around 100 calories per mile it has a big impact over several weeks.

Bloody hell, don't know where you find time to cover that distance mate.

It can't be easy when you're tied to a cab all day.
As Andy says - an early start (but not as early as you Dave) along with a couple of miles walking the dog first thing. Park a little further away from where you're going and walk. Walk when you can including when taking a break. It all mounts up.

Yup, I put my phone in my pocket every time I leave my desk so it captures them all.

I ran 4.5 km in 7500 ish steps so yours or mine doesn't read right, think it may be yours.
