So, I just bought the zed. The previous owner said the AC compressor was bad, that or the clutch... Anyway, I've spent a lot of time digging through things today, came home and followed some advice I had read. Turns out, it was just a 5 amp fuse and needed a recharge... I had left over "AC Pro" from my recharge of my truck earlier this year. Replace the fuse, recharged the system and voila nice cool breeze coming from the vents ;) light is now on when I turn the AC on as well as the fresh air/recirculated air light is on when pressed.

I'm a happy camper right now. I can now spend the extra money on some new upholstery... I'm thinking beige with blue inserts and maybe wrapping the steering wheel with beige and blue :)

I think this forum just saved me some money... Thanks guys!

@Bozzy
In Texas it's 4 months of 90 degree + temperatures June - September the air conditioning is worth it's weight in gold.
Really enjoyed my 4 years in Germany.

Glad it was so simple . Will you buy different seats and dye them or retrim them?

In Texas it seems to be flood time all the time at the moment from what my cousins post....
Bring on the temp to dry it all out:whistle:

A good result with something extra too!

I will take them to an upholstery shop here in town and re cover them. At least that's what I'm thinking will happen.

I like the thought of having them beige with blue inserts :)

I'll need to get a few other quotes for the seats and steering wheel. I took it to the upholstery shop in town yesterday and they quoted me $1850. That's a little expensive if you ask me. I'll have to do some checking around.

Wow :p
That's a lot of money ;)
