Well last night we had 2 of the Grandkids stay over. Around 7.30 last night they were running around the yard and up onto the patio then i heard Kim shout me and say "dont get mad" went out side to find marks like these on certain sections of every panel.

So i am now in the process of trying to rectify as much of the damage as possible in the short time i have before Zedfest.
This is my attempt of putting it right.

Just got the rest of the car to do. Oooohhh the joy of Grandchildren
I am now having to do this in stages so i am using the fine cutting pad with the compound polish and where needed switching to the compound pad.
Guess what i will be doing every evening when i get in from work.

They were running round but kim had not noticed they had taken a plastic toy each outside with them. They never usually touch the zed and keep a few feet away. I think they just got over excited as they had not seen each other for a while

Well bless 'em for just being kids, and bless you for just getting on with fixing it! I'm sure you can use the pictures when they are older... ;)

Oh dear, not something you like to see - well you are managing to get the marks out, albeit with some hard work! You need to park the car well away from kids?:(

That's a tad unlucky mate, on the upside at least it's cutting out to a nice shine.

Don't know what to say, just:arghh:

Their was no point getting angry with as all that would do would be to upset them and make them dislike me. So we are now only allowing them up on the patio when they visit and want to play outside

O my goodness :p
Your poor Z :(
At least it looks like it's coming out :)

You must have been well impressed. Thankfully it seems to be coming out OK.

Am sure the fact that they're your grandkids tempered your annoyance. At least they were outside playing.

get a skip
unfortunately me and kids dont mix that well, i can be " abit grumpy" according to Sally.
You should be thankful. You get to give them back

A couple of years ago, someone who shall remain nameless, accidentally covered my Touareg and a VW Eos (both metallic black) in gold-ish coloured fence care product which had blown in a very light breeze. Mercifully my Z3 was around the other side of the bungalow. It took me a whole lot of hard work to get it off both cars.:(

Tony.

oh dear, that reminds me of a time many years ago, i was working at a joinery making reproduction antique furniture.
one of the prep methods was to spray a caustic soda solution onto the wood, this i was doing with a spray gun (H&S would have a fit today) i was merrily spraying away not noticing there was a breeze that was blowing the caustic mist across to the body shop next door:eek: hey i was only 19 and still a bit green. But not as green as the owners of nice new rusty cars=))

Well 10hrs after starting to correct the marks left by our darling Grandchildren i have now managed to get over halfway done. All thats left is the Drivers side rear quarter top, drivers door top and the drivers wing from above the side repeater light all the way to the fron. So it looks as though i am going to be busy when i get in from work every evening, but i should get a panel a night done and will probably leave the wing till Saturday when i have more time to concentrate on it.
