Twelve grandchilren,,,,,,,,and the first one to get a car ( a fiat punto :arghh:) that needs an exhaust system,
(Fortunately Cat not required)
Quoted just over £200 by quickcrap and national auto, Local motor factor was 109.00

Online was less than £50.00, plus 12.00 for a bracket that was rusted through.

Bought the one on line from Click car parts, and arrived today. Quality very good and came with gaskets etc.
Just got to get the little oik to bring his car round now to fit it. ( actually he’s not so little.......about 6ft 2in )

As I understand it...........thats what grandparents are for....menial tasks and supplying cash

So, grandad pays for it, grandad fits it, and I get rewarded with a hug !!!!

I hope the other 11 dont get to drive. =))=))=))

You wouldn’t want it any other way :)

Yes. I have one granddaughter now 19 at uni.
She does not have her own car but drives mums ,who complains about the insurance costs.
I can understand that , putting a 19 year old on a Copper S in Manchester must be painfull.
Mind you daughter can be a hand full --- phone call saying the red light is on,can I drive it ok. I drive 40 miles to put oil in it.
Fortunately it has run on flat tyres so when one goes down at 23.30hrs 60 miles from home I could say drive home nice and steady

Perks of the job Malc. But at least you got used to it with the kids first?

Tony.

Sure you’re pleased as punch to be able to help.

Should adopt the train the trainer approach though. Teach the young man how to do it (and use a spanner etc) and then point the other 11 at him. ;)

We have been told in no uncertain terms that we shall not become grandparents. We only have one son and neither him or his partner want kids. Hey ho, come retirement that'll give us more time for holidays and zed days!:coolsteer)

We’re got two grandsons and the eldest one is now having driving lessons , but he’s got to pass first time because all the rest of the family passed first time if he don’t he’s letting the side down =))
