Its not been a great month!!.
Dinked the little gem and sorted it,then the rad went, thought it couldn't get worse but "yes" it can! Water pump then decides to give up the ghost and had to get that done along with new front brake pads and a service,,yet more money into the pit,,that must be the end you would think but again NO!! on getting the service done I am told the rear off side suspension spring is not sitting right and the nearside one has actually snapped!!..the front wish bone rubbers have worn and need replacing and now the drivers door handle has started sticking...IF I didn't love driving it quite so much I think a gallon of petrol,a dark out of camera country road and a match might be a thought...(insurance claim)..old school!.

Tinting windows tomorrow for a bit of light relief.

Pretty much as we expect Craig. Just keep tipping the cash in mate, we all do.

Tony.

Yep keep at it. Its a constant feed of cash to keep the zeds going. They are pretty good compared to a lot of cars of 20+ years but things need to be replaced. I've got an alloy to get repaired, a bumper to get painted and a lower arms, track rod ends and lolly pops to change.

At least you've only got one money pit;).

I've got 2 x 21yr old Zeds and a 32yr old Merc. Both Zeds have to be MOT'd in May and the Merc is due in June, Oh, and they are all coming up for a tax renewal too ......... and people keep asking me when I'm going to call it a day and retire ......

With regard MoT/tax you are running cars that are far too new, son runs a 1952 Land Rover and ---thank goodness---it does not need an MoT.
And at Tax renewal its amusing the form asks are you taxing it for 6 month or 12 month , both at zero cost.
Insurance is very cheap, but limited to 1000 miles per year----they don't do less.
Mind you its not a daily drive.

I may have asked this before so forgive me if I have: what are lollipops? And don't say the obvious...

...yep, we love our cars and they do take our pennies to keep going but they are incredible cars and I, for one, love mine.

Thanks - did my car need one of these on the suspension arm?

Yes, you brought one with you. These are old ones with the old ratty rubber bushes removed, re painted and ready to have poly bushes fitted.
The paint will have plenty of time to dry.;)

Tony.

It's great that you can recycle them. Good thinking.

I thought it sounded familiar.
