Went for a 400 mile blast around gods country.Thought i'd get fuel in Aberystwyth but couldn't find any high octane, so kept pressing on, with a few stops to see friends etc.Just about made it to Carmarthen where I took the photo.Best bit was watching my wifeys face each time i passed a fuel station selling TVO or similar. The engine was growling but the screaming was coming from the passenger seat. What a great drive though, cant wait o get back.
We got away with it in the Florida Keys in May. We were just nicely on the "7 mile bridge" when the fuel light came on. First 2 fuel stations were still closed after Irma and we were beginning to get a little concerned. Finally found a place open at the far end of Big Pine Key.
I ran out a few weeks back, managed to roll down a hill into a bus stop and had to leave it there and call my brother to take me to the petrol station with a fuel can

Played this game with a hire car the other year - rolled into SLC airport drop off, with it saying 5 miles left ( return empty deal ) the attendant said its the lowest he'd ever seen
Wont be trying it again though, as it involved lots of coasting, and very steady driving
