Hello all

Apologies for posting here and on zroadster.net.

Does anyone know why F1 asymmetrics are out of stock everywhere? I need new tyres but can't find anywhere which has any stock of the rear tyres - 245/40 R17 91Y. The front tyres are 225/45 R17 91Y

These tyres suit me and the car. It's not looking as though I shall be able to get them - please give me your recommendations for other brands! Especdially if you are a fan of the F1 Asys.

TIA

Sue

Protyre have them in stock  20% discount code for 2 or more - PREMTYRE

thanks very much Toby - have had to send the garage a message about the rear tyres, hopefully will have two in stock.

Camskill
All no stock of rear Goodyear.

Stephen.

Thanks for your help Stephen. I usually order from Oponeo and couldn't believe it when they didn't have any! Presumably they've given you no reason for the backlog? I can wait a bit; the rear tyres are quite low but passed the MOT and front are better but they did say all have perishing and cracks, so I feel I'd prefer to replace. If I'm going to have to get something else, I'm hoping to find someone who's loved the F1s and found something else they also love!

regards

Sue

I tried for several weeks to find some but gave up in the end and went for PS5’s.
From the various conversations I had it’s a supply issue down to a combination of fires in rubber plantations to the Trump based Hormuz dramas.

You can get 245’s with no bother but they are a taller profile.
The PS5’s are terrific if that’s any help.

I'm in the same boat, managed to get a front set earlier in the year (staggered 18's here), but can't find the rears for love nor money. They've been out of stock since February from what I can tell.

I'll probably jump to Uniroyal Rainsports for the rears on mine come September as they'll need replacing, and see how they run. Been running them on the family wagon (Focus ST Estate) and they have the wet grip and haven't worn too quickly. Seem to be a choice on Zeds as well from reading forums/looking round at shows.

I had F1s on my car years ago and personally didnt like them. They did have dry traction but when they broke free they went from good to really bad in a hurry and there didnt seam to be any middle ground.

The wife had Uniroyal Rainsports on here Z and they are brilliant. Decent dry traction and as the name suggests excellent in the wet.

I changed from PS5s to rainsport on my e89, no where near as grippy as the PS5 especially in the wet, wont have them again - just saying

I have pilot sports on my turbo car and they are brilliant in the dry. But as soon its wet its a complete different story.
