I can assure you that if I get anything even remotely close to 37 mpg I shall be worried that I'm not driving it as it is meant to be driven.

In fact, I will trade it in and get a bl@@dy Hyundai or Nissan and change my name to Reg, wear corduroys and start listening to Radio 2.

View attachment 14866 This weekend sees my faithful little Z3 go off to a new home after nearly three years of reliable service during which its mileage went from 71,000 to 135,000.

Tonight it has had to suffer the embarrassment of having to sleep with its replacement in the drive.
