99% get put back gentley.

But if someone orders a certain fish and i know they will do it justice then i will keep one or two.

I go fishing to get out to different places and get on the water. I am a sport fisherman and sprecimin hunter.
Some of my fellow anglers think i'm crazy when i put back a prized catch.

I'm also known as a tackle tart. I fish with the high end rods and reels. Some of the engineering that goes into
some of the japanesse and amercan reels is quite remarkable.

We kept the Conga because the Captain killed it on deck as it was thrashing around a lot, we were all standing up out of the way on the seats, it was a big beast, we would never have been able to get it back overboard.
It made for surprisingly good eating though, as we all took some home after it had been cut up into large pieces.

I was going to say i did catch a conger on bream tackle, but did not get the photo as the deck hand released it with a T-Bar at the side of the boat.
The deck hand said its only small, but i said i still want a photo of it and plop he let it off the hook TW@ :mad:

Interesting critters, the only fish that can swim backwards ;)
 
Do a fish justice? Had some training at Rick Steins place in Padstow a few years ago, could cook already, but getting taught by people that really know what they're doing makes a hell of a difference. Shame I'm up here now, back when I lived in Folkestone I regularly had friends round for some proper cooking.

Shame you have moved away, otherwise you could have had a steady flow of fish tipped through your letter box :wacky:
