What a terrible 5 hour drive down.
Heavy rain and spray virtually all the
Way. Stopped when I got here.

If we get out, it's a bit breezy down here.

Bream would be the target, have
Some new, very light gear to play with.

Years ago fishing off Weymouth, one bloke caught a Conger Eel and I managed to 'lasso' a Spider Crab....!!

I'm currently in the Sailors return pub, Weymouth

Have room booked for the night as it's
An early start.

Conger on light bream gear, now that would be interesting lol

Hold my beer and watch this

Hope you get to go out mate. Long drive for nothing if you don't.:(

Tony.

ps. Did you get your Dash cam sorted Ok?

Don't know what that crab was holding on to, but it took more work to pull it up than the Conger.
Thought I had got tangled and stuck first.

Have a good time fishing @N4LLY :p

Good news! !!
Trip is on. Bream, Turbot and rays promised.
Let's see if can winkle out one them
Red band fish.

Tight lines

However we are hard, and if you brave it out and work and know what your doing you can get
a result like this....

A specimen Bream. I told the guys at work that i was after my first ever 4lb er.

A little optermistic as a specimen is between 2.5 and 3.5 LB for ther area.

Mine went 4 lb 2oz on the skipper's IGFA calibrated and certifide scales. Most excellent

{Damn i'm good at this game =)) }

Nice catch!! Any big gold fish down there?:D

Another slant on going fishing is the adventure. It can take you to good places and bad.

For example, this weekend.

The rubbish 5 hour journey on friday afternoon, in the pouring rain.

The Sailors return pub i booked into Friday night, Handy for the boat, but...

Friday night is Karaoke night, it was fired up at 2000 hrs and did not finish until gone midnight.
It was so loud in the room i could not hear master chef on the telly and the bedroom floor was bouncing

5 hour drive down, getting zero sleep and an early morning start the next morning plus a 9 hour boat trip in challenging conditions and the prospect
of a another 5 hours drive back straight after. I came to my sences.

So about 10pm Friday i got on booking dot com to find another room i could use after the boat trip, saturday evening.

By fluke i found this place.....

A short drive north of Weymouth.

@t-tony wish i had the dash cam fitted, the road from Dorchester to Yeovil was spectacular. Praire sky's

The Fat Pidgeon, WOW what a fab place. Amazing location, so quite, so perfect.

It's only been open 2 month's so Ssshhh it's our secret otherwise i'll never get booked in again ;)

They dont have a resturant but recommend a gastropub just down the road www.masonarmsodcombe.co.uk

WOW what great food, did not have time to make a reservation but the staff were brilliant and fitted me in and was ordering within 10 mins.
(Note to dog lovers, this pub love dogs, there must have been 6 punters that had brought along there dogs, brilliant)

The driveway
