If you go to an organised event you don't have any insurance - insurance is your responsibility. If you have an accident which i wish no one to have - you can not claim against any third party. The number of accidents are rare - but can happen and may not be your fault. Me personally I am not prepared to drive my car with out insurance - as I could not afford to replace it.
Track day insurance is an personal thing - many people don't have it - as i was costing me £150 extra per track day to insure my car - so doing track days was quite expensive. But since @BMBabe given me a quote i will be moving my insurance over - and save my self £400 a year that means 4 more track days.

What would be nice is a Zroadster.org track day!! Maybe @GazHyde could get the BMWCC to organise one for us? Not sure of the membership cost tho
Well I spoke to Stacey (@BMBabe) today and got a cracking deal on my next years insurance , it was lovely to speak to her and at one point Stacey was telling me what mods I had on my car . I did not get quite the saving @Twin Turbo got but I did get an extra 5000miles on my policy and have enough of a saving for one track day
