Although it's several days away the forecast of Hurricane Irma is becoming a bit of a concern for us. We were lucky to escape a direct hit from Mathew last year it is beginning to look like Irma may impact Florida this weekend and into next week.

Can't do much from here but sit tight and see what happens. At least last year we were there.

Tony.

I've got relatives down there..........................Frankie

I saw this on the weather forecast, hope it changes course mate, or loses some oomph before it reaches land.

I appreciate your concern Tony. Let's hope it doesn't make land

Awful as it is mate you can do nothing but pray it calms down or scoots around your area. Fingers crossed mate.

Batten down the hatch's mate and hope it goes the other way.

O no @t-tony :p
Hope everything is ok for you ;)

A worrying category update to the storm today. Will be a couple of days before it's track towards Florida is more certain.
Hope it veers away.
Do you have anyone who can storm rig things for you Tony?

What's the latest on this Tony? Hope it changes course.

We won't know until later in the week Stef, if it stays in South Florida it should not impact us at all. My mate goes over on Thursday and he is staying on the Atlantic coast for his first few days so if it tracks up the eastern coast he could be affected. We have told him that IF he has to evacuate inland, as happened last year, we will send him the lock and alarm codes for our place and he can go there to stay till it's safe.

Hi Ian, yes our Manco Greg and Julie will look out for us as we have no one "in house" just now. Friends from Gainsborogh came home last Saturday but my mate and his wife go over on Thursday and will keep us updated if need be. Thank the Lord for WhatsApp eh?

Mmm. Into the eye of the storm - literally

Best of luck with this Tony. Not easy being so far away!

Bonzo.

At least your lives aren't in danger this year Tony! Mother Nature is pretty peed off with the world right now, hopefully she'll leave the storm out over the ocean where it will do little damage, good luck to you, Shirl and your friends!! JIM

Looking like this on Sunday Jim. Going up the East coast like Mathew did last year. My mate is going to St. Augustine.right on the east coast.

I fear we're going to be seeing apocalyptic scenes from some Caribbean islands in the next few hours.
