Did the film actually help sell the Z, and how much did it cost BMW to get their Z fronted instead of an Aston, makes you wonder what went on behind closed doors, No?????

Rha.

"The entire 1996 BMW Z3 roadster production run, more than 15,000 roadsters, was sold out by the time the car was introduced."

So I would say the film did help with sales. The same for the Esprit when Mr Bond drove them.

Its a great way to launch a new design, getting a worldwide viewing used by a favourite character that folks recognise. :)

Bonds car just has to be an Aston nothing else will do.

Depends how much your willing to pay the film makers I reckon, he did drive the Z8 though, nothing wrong with that. Can't see Bond taking a Aston swimming though, Lotus was right for underwater, just looks great coming up the beach. Of course that's IMO.
What about THE ITALIAN JOB Aston, just wanted to cry when they were wrecking it.

I haven't seen the lastest Bond film but it would have to go some to beat Skyfall

Don't miss Spectra it's well worth seeing, missed Judy though, but the new M played by Ralph Fiennes who was in Skyfall as MI6 boss played a credible part IMO. We got to cinema late and the only seats left were the two at the very front which nearly ruined it for me but once the action started I actually forgot the poor seat location but did end up with a stiff neck next morning, :meh:won't sit so close again unless I'm invited to a premier.:bored:

Thanks Toby, still haven't got yourself a Z then.----------------------

Rha,Roy.

Err no, :bag: There may come a time though, when the Elise has to go so never say never. Nearly bought a z coupe though once upon a time

Loving the Aston from Spectre, if only .............
