I've seen those on ebay and I will probably end up with one as I really like them.:thumbsup:My wife just said she likes shiny knobs as well

@Sean d Once you get the knob then its the side vents the door handles ariel then wheels, can get expensive it you have no will power. Didn't tell the wife about the other stuff.

I already have a list that way exceeds my budget, just ordered some new badges and side light leds, start with the small stuff;)

How did you get the old one off, I need to remove mine to fit a new gaiter but the complete stick just moves slightly as if undoing or doing up, tried to pull but no luck. Told in a previous post that they are very tight mine seems welded, its the part chrome and part leather type.

How did you get the old one off, I need to remove mine to fit a new gaiter but the complete stick just moves slightly as if undoing or doing up, tried to pull but no luck. Told in a previous post that they are very tight mine seems welded, its the part chrome and part leather type.
Well I just pulled it straight up and off it came, just held on by friction, have another wheetabix and try again :)

Had a look at mine today and its the same as the above pic, its not actually cracked, just looks like the clear bit on the top has delaminated from the numbered display,

@Sean d on my old one the chrome was all peeling numbers not readable needed changing.

Would you not consider replacing the plastic insert with the gear positions on which is what I did, cheaper that a new complete knob.

The insert in side was cracked and some had fallen out the it was not gripping the stick very well.
