You’re right, it is missing-but if you look at the pic, the gap on the pic is after the trim cap.

Right after the trim that’s missing, there’s a gap that looks like a triangle.

Yes, I can see what you mean. I think the fabric should be tucked into the window seal.

The arrowed part of the seal should be behind the fabric.

I have the same problem and was wondering if my top shrunk or just too small. Wasn’t sure if it could be adjusted. The gap is about a quarter inch and you can see where it lets dirt and water in.
