OK, I admit it... I'm a nerd, and I've just come up with the perfect reason to get that third monitor for my gaming PC...

Finally got around to configuring it so games can use both monitors at the same time... With the third monitor it's gonna be perfect for Forza 7.

These pics are of Euro Truck Simulator, which simulates, er, truck driving! I reckon I'm better than @Grumps now :ymdevil:

On a single monitor you have to scroll around to look in each mirror which makes junctions a lot easier.

This is what I'm aiming for... May even consider the steering wheel, pedals and gear shifter for full immersion.

You need to get yourself some curved monitors, when they are connected together thy look as cool as....

Not looking at a career change are you mate. They're crying out for truck drivers over in the US.;)

I can't quite justify curved monitors at the moment, the 24" AOCs I'm using are £130 each as it is - and the third is about to go in to my Amazon cart. I'm currently looking at a better graphics card, and that's £450 and the wheel/pedal/shifter setup is another £250 on top.

Not real, no burp at the end !! :)

Tony.

I have been playing with trucks all across Europe for 40 years. Actually driving one is my worst nightmare.

I'll share my 3 screen set up a little later.

trackIR instead of all the monitors
I've watched quite a few vids of a guy who uses TrackIR, incredibly clever yet simple system. It's on my maybe list, but I'd still probably run the three monitors anyway. I've had a 2 monitor setup for the last 10 years, so a third isn't going to make much difference other than having to move my PC case over so I can line them up - loads of desk space!

For those wondering, it's an infra red system which sits on top of your monitor and tracks the movement of your head. With a bit of calibration it can figure out what direction you are looking and move the view on screen to match. So in this case, you could turn your head to the right and the screen would scroll round to look out the drivers window, or you can look own at the dash instruments.

@GazHyde I built myself a gaming PC in 2013 with some good bits in there and it's held up pretty well, have done a couple of upgrades since, an SSD a better graphics card and the PSU got replaced a couple of times but some of the bits, mainly the processor is well and truly outdated now. So I'll be building a new one from scratch over the winter.

Really wanted this as a monitor but the price got in the way a little! On black Friday it was at £990.

Like you I'll probably have a three screen setup.

Having said all the above, it has been almost a year since I did any gaming...
