No not the car ..... need to be full of alcohol before even thinking.... yeah I can do that !!!!:whistle:

This is the most exciting thing I’ve done in the last few weeks!!!

Now I will have to have microwave meals as I don’t want to get it dirty again :arghh::arghh:

@andyglym ....if only I could put this much effort into cleaning the car=))=))

Yup. Savage stuff mate. My mother used to unpick the mattress, boil wash it and sew it back on to avoid a bill where we'd wet the bed as kiddies. 🤷‍♂️
 
De-coke! That takes me back to my early motoring years. I always seemed to be fitting a new headgasket and de-coking the cars I had. Nice big piece of cardboard with holes to keep the rods in the right order and grinding paste all over me. 'They don't make cars like they used to.' Thank goodness!!
 
The last proper de-coke I did was about 35 years ago on the ex brother in laws’ Vauxhall Chevette. Started on the Friday evening and worked on it over the weekend, stripping the head down and relapping the valves etc, and finished it on the Sunday afternoon. Took it for a run and it ran perfectly then got back to the house and drove it into a gate post:whistle:

wasn’t funny at the time but makes me laugh now=))
 
Shudda done that first Malc, save doing a de-coke. . . .
