sorry to sound thick, but is there some sort of rubber gasket seal on the fuel flap ?

Just went to put some liquid gold in the zed and opened the flap to see Loch Lomond in there,,,,, it was flooded, but thankfully none got in the cap itself...

So, if there's a seal meant to be there, where can I buy one from

Many thanks

Ray

There is a drain hole in the rubber seal below the filler hole. This gets blocked, you can clear it with a piece of wire. You can just see it at the bottom of this picture.

Remember someone saying that they did it from under the car with a bit of wire.

Dare I add a bit of humor here but I put a plastic Goldfish in mine and then went to the only garage near me, out in the sticks, that still fills your car up for you, should have seen the blokes face.......:D

I had this problem until I found some old strimmer line from the works petrol strimmer which had been sold.
I just took my time not wishing to pucture the tube. grass strimmer line is to thin

Yeah, my petrol strimmer uses 3mm line minimum. Always have some in the garage!
