Anyone know where i would get a front strut brace for Z3 6 cylinder? Would a front strut bar for E36 fit? Would something like this fit?
Not looking to spend too much on one just want it more for visual thanks.

Racing Dynamics is what I have on mine. Nice bling. Can't remember the cost.

I bought a brace that was advertised as e36 and fitting the Z3 6cyl. It arrived box marked Z3 and I fitted it looked okay but then I found I couldn’t close the bonnet. So beware all e36 braces don’t fit Z3s.

It is very easy to make the E36 brace fir a Z3, also often a considerably cheaper option. Ask me how I know.

If Andy has sorted you on the strut brace I'll hold off on the pictures for now.

I fitted it as bought and realized it was probably too high so lowered the bonnet very carefully to be proved right. Had a look at what I could do to make it fit. Took about an hour to sort it.
You need to remove the bar from the brackets and bolt the brackets to the strut tops. Next loosen the lock nuts and screw the mounts out of the bar, each side equally until it sits further back and lower in the strut top brackets. I left 3-4mm gap between the rocker cover and the bar, the picture makes it look closer than it was. Then you need to re drill the brackets for the new mount positions and trim off the excess (higher) part of the brackets.

You're very welcome Mike. If you go this route just take your time. I sold my brace on to another member and as far as I'm aware it's still on his car.
