I’ve had my head under my Z3 tonight and noticed that the front cross reinforcement is looking a bit tatty. Some rust that I want to get sorted before it gets out of hand.
For clarity, it’s part 16 on the realoem attachment.
My question is about removing this part. Is it simply undo the bolts, drop it out, clean up and refit, or do I need to provide any supports for the car whilst the cross reinforcement is out? Obviously I won’t be moving the car whilst the part is out.:)
Any hints and tips, or is this straightforward stuff?

What Mazza said. I had a trolley jack under mine before I unbolted it and then lowered down

One tip, hand start all the fixing bolts before tightening any.
