Before you go off spending, has anyone actually looked to see what the problem is with the sticking caliper? It may be just that the guide pin needs a touch of a suitable grease on it, if it's not been done before it'll almost certainly need it. Part no.6 on here

And if it's the seal that's causing the problem, this'll be a considerably cheaper way round it https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z3-E...rtible&hash=item4d475ea591:g:S~YAAOSwgu9ZZ~6R
and you wind up with the deep inner glow of having fixed something, not just fitted some new bits.

Thanks for your guidance...I'm looking to limit spend to essentials only for this job (whilst improving the car) so will look to utilise @t-tony 's brake bleeding approach which should work as there will be 2 of us (& thanks to @Mazza 's ingenuity )

Thats a good point for sure & I do like that inner glow of fixing something :) however I'm keen to replace the pair of front calliper's (as it may save me time in the longer run in case the problem returns (prob due to my lack of skills)

Thanks to @Mazza Malc's help today, I have a spare (free) pair of front calipers from my car which maybe of use to someone on the forum. Maybe Lee for a ZedShed project car maybe..?

The o/s calliper was def sticking so will need a refurb & I suspect that the n/s may not be too far behind but as eluded to above by @the Nefyn cat they are fixable.

I am happy to bring them along to a Zed Org meeting if anyone is interested.
