@Jack Ratt We're stopping off in Cardiff on Friday and heading to Lands End early morning on Saturday - likely looking to get there for midday.
Are you travelling with other cars or just your zed? I live in mid Cornwall just 10 minutes off the A30 and it would be great to say hello. I could just as well drive down to Lands End to see you off

It's just me and a friend who is bringing his car along, bit of a tight schedule that day as we are driving for 10 hours but I would love to say Hi and you're more than welcome to join us to Lands End :)

I’ll be in Plymouth this weekend with my Silver Z3. What time are you planning on being at Lands End? As wouldn’t mind meeting up and driving a bit of Cornwall with you.

Hi Jim, we are thinking of a run out over Dartmoor on Sunday if you're still around. I've got a few jobs to do on Saturday but I'm putting them aside for a few hours to meet Faheem

I took out breakdown cover for the first time ever yesterday, thought I might just in case, surprisingly it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be!
Good..

@Jjim around mid day early afternoon. It's around hour and half to Tavistock from our house, from there we head to Princetown on the moors then just follow our noses. I've never been to Widecombe and may head there. Might even see Uncle Tom Cobley an'all =))

@Jack Ratt - Tomorrow I’ll find out what time the family meal is and get back to you about Sunday.

@Jjim Did you want to join on the drive to Lands End or up from Cornwall and going North?

@Faheem - Can either join you in North Devon heading down to Lands End, or meet at Lands End for the drive back. Do you know any potential timings?

I did say I'd try and get to Lands End by midday but after double checking the timings on Google Maps it looks like it'll be 1:30-2:30PM by the time we get there (obviously traffic dependant).

@Jack Ratt @Jjim - if we were to meet at the Soutern Cross services at around 12:30 on the Saturday would this work for you both?

Is that Hayle Services in Cornwall on the A30 or do you mean Sourton Cross in Devon on the A30

Just read your post again and I think you mean Sourton Cross at Okehampton which is good for us. It's a Shell fuel stop and has a Burger King etc

This is the one that I was looking at - although I don't know the area/roads as well as you Garry, so if there is a better meet point then let me know. Cheers.

Just amended my earlier post. Yes we can meet there. The A30 is a dual carriageway from the M5 to Truro. You have to leave the A30 at Sourton Cross junction to get to the services but it is easy to get to

Fill your washer bottle in the engine bay and get rid of the one in the boot. If you need more (which you won't), buy it.
Take the tools out of the box and put them in a bag.
You won't need a trolley jack, you have one in the BMW tool kit.

A useful thread would be one that advises what to take and where to store it #light_bulb_moment
