First of all, most importantly, a big thanks to everyone who takes the time to share their knowledge and experience. We're all saving huge amounts of £££s and learning loads.
My car is a year 2000 Z3 3.0 with the M54 engine. My wife's is a year 2000 328i with the M52TU engine. Both cars closely related in many ways.
On to business, as a first post I'll upload a fix rather than ask a question and hope that it will help someone like me who is still learning about all the emissions control systems and electronics that are now attached to cars.
Until recently my experience stopped somewhere in the 80s, before everything became really complex and it was then off to the main dealer or local indy for servicing and routine replacements. Then as the cars aged the bills were going to be large so back to the classroom!
Also being new to the forum world other than guest viewer I'm not too sure what I'm doing with posting and all the various buttons so please bear with me while I learn!
