Well just got home at 1 this morning after our trip to France in the Z3....over 2000 faultless miles..... A dream and pleasure to drive....plenty of power when needed but not bad fuel economy at 36 mpg on steady run down. Only one slight issue, no air con and the temperatures have been horrendous
down there on occasion....but with Windows , blowers on and an extra little plug in fan helped. A great experience for a anyone who fancies the trip.

Sounds great. Would love to do a trip like that. Where did you go?
Did you take out any additional breakdown cover?

Yes it was great, we stay near Royan....250 mile drive from st Malo ferry port...also visited Limoges area.....my bank account covers European breakdown.....but think it's worth having.....also took radiator hose repair tape and puncture repair kit......and of course the essential 14 pairs of shoes, handbags, two suitcases for my wife...oh and a couple of pairs of shorts for me...

You weren't the only one, I passed two Z3 s, both dark metallic blue, one with white checkered stripes up the bonnet, going south down the autoroute from Calais to Rouen two weeks ago. Both 'r' registered I think.

Think it's a popular place to go and great for driving .....just avoid red route days at holiday time...we had to return early due to a family illness and drove back on a Saturday through France to start Malo.....the traffic was horrendous.....
