Looking at these awesome pics and and wondering....does Frankie's camera have a filter on it that makes everything look like it's an old American movie or does America just look how they show it it old movies??!!

Everything in movies is 100% accurate! Those boys are in the unsettled Wild West right now! Then they head through redneck country witch should be interesting for Hugh in particular with their big bellied sheriffs and good ol' boys! JIM

Good job the Bandit's retired now, though Beaufort. T, Justice might just be around the corner or even Dirty Lyle.

What a day, started off really good beat the Irish at rugby and hit the road at Albuquerque heading forOklahoma 700 and something miles the roads are busy but making good time into Texas.man that's flat and vast landscape stopped for something to eat and fuel at Amarillo then a quick blast to the border, strapped Frankie in and set off down the road ,4 miles from the border thinsgs started to go wrong,I could see a car in the distance behind and unlike all the others it was getting bigger .oh oh I thought and started to slow down about a mile later it caught up and the lights started flashing so I put my foot down, this was a mistake !!!..........ha got you in reality I meekly pulled over and waited a little nervously, over he comes and explains I was speeding,so I has to get in his cruser and head off into the nearest town leaving the godfather at the roadside to follow.up to the courthouse in belive it or not Shamrock ....the Irish got there own back.So credit card a little lighter Sarah isn't getting the souvenir she hoped for duly chastised Frankie eventually found me and off we went on our merry way. Were now in Oklahoma City lets hope we can get out of here safely :)

B*****! Never been to Americaland but every film I've ever watched there, someone seems to get pulled by the friendly local deputy sheriff! :(

Looking at his radar printout, he has calibrated the gun 1 minute AFTER the offence.

I would have sternly pointed this out to him at the courthouse, and most likely still be there! ;)

Never a good experience, but at least you are dealing with it and not letting it spoil your day.

Unlucky Hugh, alleged speed 107 :), I'm sure the fine will smart a bit but it could have been worse, that that sort of speed is an instant ban back home.

Great reading about your cross country trip, I googled a cross country route yesterday and it looked superb, keep the pics coming and the speed a little lower ;)

That puts a little dampener on the trip boys but it's only money, better than 30 days !! Breakfast in Amarillo, awesome. :)

A red face yes, but I think that is what is sometimes referred to over there as a " motel tan";)

Hugh, just noticed your surname is the same as Paulines maiden name so you may be related.:nailbiting: Did any of your older relatives move to Birmingham by any chance?
