Framlingham Castle Sunday 1st November

Thank you all for your concern. Kate is home with us tonight for a weeks convalescing, that means being waited on hand and foot. Yes Dave she did have keyhole surgery, at least one bit of luck there. She has been ill for some time, since early May, even though the gallbladder kept getting infected, Addenbrookes weren't going to take it out until after Xmas, but then they bought the op forward to Nov 19th and after Kate rang them, sobbing and feeling terrible, they finally decided to operate today, with a months recuperation. We are so glad it is all over, now she can get on with her life!!!
All sounds fimiliar Mike, mine became terribly infected as i was wrongly diagnosed. I developed bilirubin, blood poisoning, pancreatitus etc and felt awful. It's a catch 22 as you need the op to get better but they won't do it while the gall ladder is infected as this can make things worse. She'll feel so much better once the memory subsides a bit. I know I do! :)

Look what we're got for tomorrow :ymdevil:

Yes Grumpy, we think you're right, the pain memory is still fresh and like the actual pain, hopefully it will fade soon too, like you she developed bilirubin. Poor Kate has had a terrible time over the last two and a half years as she was diagnosed with Autoimmune Haemolytic Anaemia (The body destroys itself by the white blood cells attacking the red ones) she had 8 blood transfusions, 7 plasma exchanges & Rituximab (Chemo for Leukaemia) The final solution was for her to have her spleen removed. While she was beginning to get back to normal, she ended up in absolute agony with a kidney stone, which they tried to take out, only to find it was infected, so they inserted a stent, then finally removed it two weeks later. So we could not believe when she developed a Gall stone, but her Haematologist said that it was caused by the great amount of dead red blood cells from when she was haemolysing.

A long disastrous story, Dave, which we hope will now be behind her, several Zorg members have been very supportive of both Kate and us during this time and we are grateful for all their kind words:happy:

So sorry to here that M and S. I can only feel for her with regards to the gall stones and extensions of that, so to have other serious issues on top must be terrible. Please send her our best and we hope she's feeling better very soon.

Having had to deal with those issues since 1990 I can appreciate Kate's journey and the strength hit takes to keep putting one foot in front of the other each and everyday not knowing what the day will bring! She's very courageous to have to handle all of this at such a young age. Hopefully this will bring better days for her and all of you as she gets on with life! JIM

I would also like to wish you all happy motoring :coolsteer)for tomorrow, have a great day.
Like Bozzy say's lets see some pic's:thumbsup: and enjoy the run.

Same here Shelly, it just might be foggy in the morning so be careful out there and enjoy yourselves. Don't forget the pictures please.
