The NT680 is the updated version of my NT644.
All models of the NT680 cover just about all makes of manufacturer (European, Asian, American) - the difference in versions of the NT680 (Lite, All systems and Pro) is what they are capable of doing i.e what modules in the vehicle they are capable of interrogating.
I have the pro version of the NT644 - and at £400 when I bought it, I wondered whether it was worth the additional expenditure - after a few years use I can comfortably say it's I've easily recouped my money.
Have a look at this review of the predecessor of the NT680 here -

Should give you an idea of how the tool operates.
Be aware even the best scan tools can struggle to communicate with older models.

But like said on numerous of times it’s finding a uk seller or risk buying a fake one

As @t-tony pointed out Gendan seem to be pukka, I emailed them and he pointed out that the NT650 was never imported officially into EU so all NT650's are grey imports, not sure what the down side of that is and if I could find one cheap enough it wouldn't put me off.

I got an email from Foxwell today notifying me that my tool is due an update via the internet. Will look into it today. Doubt if I would've got that if it wasn't genuine.

You bought yours from Gendan on ebay though. And I think we've recognised Gendan as the official importer.

All points back to needing to spend £200 with Gendan and not £140 ish from an other for what may be a clone. I say maybe as I'm not convinced they (even any) are. But I can see how registrarion & support would be a likely issue from China.

I bought a used 530 and contacted both the UK and Chinese via email regarding buying upgrades for it and neither even had the decency to reply. I sold it on and made a small profit courtesy of a mate picking it up from near Rotherham while he was visiting family. Buyer came from Boston.

I contacted Foxwell and asked them if the scanner would do everything that they said it would and they assured me it would. I asked them if they would sell me one and they said they are only available through distributors.
I bought mine online from obd2shop
http://www.obd2eshop.com/wholesale/nt520-pro-with-installed-bmw-software.html
It was shipped from a uk warehouse as it arrived in a couple of days.

That's good. So a trusted supplier from your experience and price is £142 there.

I have messaged the guy that t-Tony has used... they are in the Uk and he said he can supply the nt530 with the latest software for £199... and he will throw in the cable for under the bonnet.
The only problem is it only works on windows and I have an apple iMac so I will not be able to update or anything else if I need to connect to a computer

Have a new and unused one. Took weeks from paying to actually get it and cannot get it registered or to even work. Foxwell support were useless. Make me an offer.
Hi Adrian

https://www.foxwelltech.com/register/step_two.html

Follow the above link to register with Foxwell. You first have to create an account then you register the serial number of your scanner. If it helps you can send it to me and I'll do it for you.

PM me if you need to. I'm away all next week, home on Friday, but Jill will be home

I have also been looking at these, had found:

http://www.foxwelltool.com/search/?q=UK+Ship&DirID=

Foxwelltool, foxwelltech . . . . What held me back was the language did look a little . . . Chinese ! Now I've looked it does have the +086 China STD dialing code and the zcarpay email address.

All of these are made in the same factory in China arent they. Foxwell 'tool' also show shipping from UK warehouse and price at c£150.

So. Spend £150 for an identical product and hope it works, and you might be scre . . . in trouble if it doesnt. Or pay 30% extra at £200 for Tony's good experience definitely UK guy . . .

Okay, I'm an adopted Yorkshireman, I'm not finding either option particularly pallatable . . . Take a chance and maybe throw all your money away, or pay an extra £50 and recieve the identical tool. I guess it comes down to - do I want one or dont I . . . (it'll probably be Tony's).

I just sent a Whatsapp to Foxwell and got this reply in about 15mins. Looking at the returns you've got 30 days to return the item (to a UK returns address) for a full refund.

Hi

The NT650 covers service reset functions. And the NT680 pro covers all the NT650 features but also supports full system diagnostic functions.
Both of them are in stock currently in UK warehouse

If you have any quality issues, you can contact us directly. And here is our return policy
http://www.foxwelltool.com/info/return-policy/

Wish you and your families remain healthy and safe!
