Forty days and forty nights...

But you didn't specify how many days! I wasn't being disrespectful with the religion comment, it was in response to your comments on day, year??? Catholics would know about Lent and the length of time, that was all
Hi Jim ;)

I'm a bit confused over your thread =))

Not my thread Shelly, it belongs to POG who threw down the challenge. I just figured I'd try to raise some $$$ for the cause by staying on topic for fourty days. Give everyone a break for a bit! lol JIM

Lol don't think anybody wants a break Jim ;)
Your posts always make me smile ;)
What will we do with out your witty posts :)

Hi Shelly, you to date are my greatest supporter. I can reply in this thread as it is not off topic. Right now the countdown is only 39d 10h my time. Still time for all you other members to get in on this and support the forum with £5 buy in. I'm doing this for YOU and I'm already fighting withdrawal. So get your date in before it's too late!! I've bumped my contribution to £10!! JIM

Well it's nearly the start of lent, although I have no religious beliefs I tend to try and give something up, so I have been thinking what to give up... In the past I have given up:

  • Facebook
  • Eating bread and crisps
  • Drinking coffee
  • Watching television

So this year I'm going to give up speeding, I think this will be a bit of a challenge as I drive about 700 plus miles a week.

So what are you going to give up?

Hi Everyone,

Well I managed my 40 days and 40 nights without speeding.... It was not so bad in my VW but a little bit of a challenge in the ZED. On my work commute the journey time was not much difference and I did save quite a lot of fuel.

Will I do it again? NO!

Congrats, you don't realize when you start these quests just how difficult it is even for the simplist challenge and I commend you on your restraint. I will do it again but with something different. JIM
