F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has hit back at a letter from Lotus, Force India and Sauber demanding talks with F1's small teams in Abu Dhabi this weekend and claimed: "They don't know what they're talking about."

John Booth, an early mentor for Hamilton as a teenager in racing, says it would be a "travesty" if the Briton did not win the title.

A former Caterham employee has expressed concern regarding the team's attitude towards safety ahead of the season finale in Abu Dhabi.

Former F1 driver Mark Webber has criticised the current state of F1 and says he doubts if people would "want to pay 400 euros for a ticket to watch a 17-year-old" - a remark aimed at Max Verstappen, who will drive for Toro Rosso next season.

I am a fan of Lewis but this is the part of him I really do not like, I have no issues with him earning big bucks and living the dream but too many times he posts pictures showing his material wealth, stop it Lewis!!!!.

A fortnight ago administrators said the Banbury-based team had ceased trading with the loss of 200 jobs.

Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has handed financially-troubled team Caterham a boost as they return to the grid at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Ecclestone has waived freight costs and chartered a plane for staff attending the season-ending race.
The team, who went into administration in October, are back racing after raising 1.8m from crowd funding.
"They wanted to go, so we've transported them at no cost to them," said Ecclestone.

230 Caterham workers laid off ahead of season finale in Abu Dhabi.
After successful crowd-sourcing fundraiser, F1 team will compete in last race with skeleton crew.

Lewis Hamilton on Brazil and Ayrton Senna.
"I have never won the Brazilian Grand Prix but it is a race I have always wanted to win and I aim to put that right this weekend. It's particularly special to me, not least because it was Ayrton Senna's home. He was my childhood hero and, although I'm a lot older now, he was - besides my dad - the person who had the most influence on me when I was growing up.
Senna was the driver who inspired me, and whom I always aspired to be like. His legacy lives on as strong as ever here in Brazil. I very much feel that when I am coming here.
I was on Brazilian television after arriving here and there was a nice moment when they gave me a Brazil football shirt with my name on it. They said they had a passport for me and would I represent them because they did not have a driver who was winning, or who drives like Senna did.

Four-time world champion Alain Prost has hit out at the double points on offer in Abu Dhabi this weekend.

Frenchman Esteban Ocon, 18, will drive for Lotus in first practice at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Bernie Ecclestone says the Indian Grand Prix could return to the F1 calendar in 2016.

Sauber team boss Monisha Kaltenborn has admitted it is going to be "tough" to avoid 2014 being their first ever season in Formula 1 without points.

Nico Rosberg says in his newspaper column he is going to push Mercedes team-mate and title rival Lewis Hamilton all the way at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend as the pair go head-to-head in a battle to claim the drivers' world championship.

Kimi Raikkonen says he is relishing the opportunity to have a bit of "fun" and getting "things done in the right way" when he teams up with Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari next season.

Tony Purnell, former technical adviser to Formula 1's governing body the FIA, has criticised his former employers for failing to cap the cost of expensive new engines which have contributed to the financial collapse of two teams this year.

Meanwhile, Ricciardo believes Ferrari will benefit from the work ethic of his outgoing Red Bull team-mate Vettel in 2015 and beyond.

There may be tension and nerves in the Mercedes garage this weekend, but Daniel Ricciardo is clearly determined to have fun at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with Red Bull tweeting this picture and the caption: "Face off... which of Daniel's new looks do you prefer? 70's Racer or Rapper's Delight."

Typical French man asking that question in that setting.
A bit like asking 'what would you do if Button shagged your wife'.

Former F1 driver Johnny Herbert has urged McLaren to keep Jenson Button ahead of Kevin Magnussen

I really hope JB get sorted with a drive somewhere, I am sad that if this is his last race in F1 he will not get the send off he deserves. .

I think it will take Vettel a few years at least to get a grip on the Ferrari, the Ferrari is a but like the Ducati in Moto GP, they require patience and a certain type of driver/rider.

@BMBabe Brilliant Stacey, you got closer than me, I did not see Button or Hamilton when I got chucked out of Hamitons pit box.

Yep, look at Raikkonen, one of the best drivers in my book but he is having a dismal time at Ferrari.

After watching todays interviews with Jenson Button the way he is acting it makes me feel like this is his final race in F1 :(

Come on McLaren you lose JB and you have made a BAD mistake!!! Whats you thoughts on the Button v Magnussen? who should stay and who should go?

Button, but who knows? Maybe he wants to leave?

My thoughts are he wants to stay! Honda means a lot to JB he has to drive next year!! Thought he was gonna cry in his interviews - he knows he is going

Looks like I will have to face up to the fact he may go :(

I think he has had his day and will be bloody good if he teams up with Webber in the Porscher Cup.
