Fernando Alonso is confident McLaren will be in a position to "taste the champagne" on a regular basis during the 2018 Formula 1 season, following the team's switch to a Renault engine.

McLaren executive director Zak Brown believes there will be an "inevitable" battle between Ferrari and Liberty Media over a fairer payment structure and new engine rules.

And Brown says McLaren will not be repeating their Indianapolis 500 entry this year and will instead concentrate on getting the team back on the podium.

Romain Grosjean believes the Haas F1 team must stop 'losing months' with unsuccessful upgrades.

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says it is "just a matter of time" until Lewis Hamilton signs a contract extension to keep him with the team beyond 2018.

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says the German manufacturer is keeping tabs on teenage talent in karting as it searches for the next Lewis Hamilton.

Sebastian Montoya, the son of former Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo, has joined Ferrari's Driver Academy despite being just 12.

F1 bosses have introduced rules to clamp down on 'tricks' being used by teams to get more out of their engines.

McLaren are expected to unveil a major sponsorship deal with Dell Technologies as the F1 team looks to return to the sharp end of the grid.

Renault boss Cyril Abiteboul says the three-engine limit introduced for the 2018 season is a "headache" for teams.

Red Bull will reveal their new Formula 1 car next Monday, the Milton Keynes-based team have announced.

Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas is hoping to continue his partnership with Lewis Hamilton on a long-term basis.

McLaren have no doubt Fernando Alonso can handle his World Endurance Championship commitments this season without letting it detract from his 2018 F1 campaign.

Negotiations over the future direction of F1 post-2020 will become "turbulent" if plans are not put in place soon, warns McLaren boss Zak Brown.

you know, I find the whole Political Correctness agenda extremely hypocritical at times.

The presence of grid girls I always found added a bit of glamour and was a part of the whole atmosphere, but no, we can't allow that anymore. "Grid Kids", what tosh, should we run a sweepstake on how long it takes David Coulthard to trip over one during his grid walk? F1 isn't a child's sport, take most of them and they'll moan they are bored or its too noisy.

However much I like the technology, some of the locations, the fantasy and escapism of it all, F1 is dying for me, and oddly this silly little change may just be the straw that breaks the camels back. But it's a mix of both the loss of the girls and what they were replaced with. I guess it could have been worse, it could have been this lot and their mates!

Back to the whole PC malarkey..

The BAFTA's last week, all the women dressed in black in protest to sexual harassment, sisters together, yeah! but don't you dare look at my flesh!"

To be honest, there isn't a lot there worth looking at and it does nothing for me, but if you are going to shout and protest about not being looked at or admired or approached, cover your bl00dy flesh up!

I fully recognise physical harassment/assault is a significant step beyond, but if I walked up to her and said " that's a rather lovely, revealing dress young lady, aren't you cold?", I'd probably first get slapped, shortly followed by arrested and dragged out.

This red-blooded, straight, white, meat eating, fossil fuel burning male, sometimes also feels like a victim. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Nothing to do with that, this sort of crap all kicked off back in the day with Mary Whitehouse.
Laughed my ass off when I read about a porn mag being named after her at the time.

Anyway, Yanks have and always will be hypocrites, where does most of the porn in the world come from?
USA ....

they've got my daughter too. She's gone vegan and thinks Jeremy Corbyn is wonderful! I'm still looking for cures.
