Today I could not help myself. I looked at Pistachio sat on the drive and succumbed.
I came out of shielding for a while and I took her for a drive. Just the two of us and 15 miles of pure Cotswold pleasure through the lanes and villages.

As a penance I did 15 hail bentleys and promise (sort of) not to do it again.

But it was enjoyable! :-)

Pure medication, can only be good for you:racecar::racecar:

I think at some point mental health has to be considered every bit as important as potential risk to physical health.

I can totally understand.

I am at work mon to fri so only off at weekends but we are still in full lockdown up here so get cheesed off at being stuck in just at weekends couldn't imagine being stuck in for weeks and weeks.
Stephen.

So true. Mental health has never been given due consideration in so called normal times and in this situation it is even worse. I believe some people are not going to be in a good place when we finally come out of lockdown. I only hope the help they need is made available.

I am just starting week 8 of a 12 week isolation. It has not been too bad but today I just needed a change of scenery and to get out.
Feel better now, so back to house arrest for me. :-)

Splendid, just what the doctor ordered.

Actually, he has just told me off for going out.
Oops :arghh: It's not like you've been out down the pub is it? Nonsense, in my view. Getting out in isolation is a good thing.

My other half is on a 12 week lockdown for her condition. Haven’t seen her for 6 weeks or been to Swansea. I can get as far as the bridge now. Then the Welsh guards pop out and block the English.

But none of this is anything compared to the poor, poor people who can’t see hospitalised relatives (and vice versa) and worst still lost people, maybe that person was on their own when they died and maybe some close relatives couldn’t go to the funeral. I know 2 people in this sad position. The rest of us just need to grin and bear it in comparison and find little ways to make it better like popping out in the Z3. Your mistake was telling your doctor ;)

:scorecard:Good for you @Dalek :scorecard:I don’t blame you :scorecard:I’ve now started to go out for a drive , it can’t hurt ,can it :scorecard:

A good drive in the fresh air on your own will do you far more good than staying indoors getting bored and you are not endangering anyone else.

Good on you Paul, does you good to get out:thumbsup:
