I run my Zthing all year round and like Steve only insure it for 4000 per annum. (This doesn't include the miles pushing it home after breaking down.)
Driving can be difficult in winter as where I live the drives are at about 45 degrees and although my road is level, at each end ot the road there is a steep hill. A standing start onto an unsalted, steep road isn't easy. It is easier to walk to the main road (salted) and exercise my 'bus pass. My 'bus pass isn't valid until 09:30, but who is up before then anyway?
