Has anyone been affected by the rain/floods ?
The A39 here in Somerset was closed yesterday evening, even busses could not get through.
Hopefully no ones home has got flooded.

Geoff

Yesterday lunch there was two roads closed due to flooding

From the national news, lots of people have had their cars stuck where they were parked and covered in flood water down here.

It's not affected us :p
But we have had heavy rain and its very windy ;)

Amused me on the BBC clip of the white car driving into the flooded area and getting 3/4 of the way through and the lights on the car died.

Why would you attempt it without a look first?

I think anyone who drives into flood water needs to be applauded, as a brain transplant donor

Tony.

Saw that and thought as the bow wave formed and rushed across the top of the car that it wasn't going to get more than ten feet. Self inflicted- uninsured loss I would have thought.

It's fine if you know your car and where the air intake is and if you know what the wading depth is and if you know that there's nothing submerged or if there are no missing drain covers.
That's a lot of ifs!
18" is as deep as I would go (and have gone) in the LR.

Now he gets the award for top plonker....
Quote "Errm i think i may have f**ked up here "

I guess the insurance companies will be watching the news to see what information they can pick up :ymdevil:
