Fix problems with top

Hey there everyone,
I'm Leslie, and just got a 2000 z3 and I'm having a problem w/the top not going down all of the sudden. It worked fine when I bought the car 3mos. Ago. Now I did have a tail light problem on the left side but it was a simple fuse. So I can't what said soft top fuse and it was fine. Is there another fuse for the top.??

to the forum from West Cumbria, England. The Z3 roof has microswitches on the brake light/brake pedal I believe? Could be that perhaps?

Had this issue with my roof turned out to be the microswitch in the roof frame on the passenger side or your driver side hidden behind a plate with two screws tested by bypassing switch and roof worked fine
