Hi everyone my husband and I have purchased a Z3 2.8 we are currently working on it as it had a slashed back window etc My husband is now in the boot and has come across this he think it may be an immobiliser .... anyone?

I think it's an amp for the radio. Optional extra. But not certain.

Hi @AmandaMC, to the forum from me too in Staffordshire. Not sure it's an amp as they wouldn't normally have a 25 pin connector. I think you need to do some cable tracing to see what it's hooked into. Could it be a tracker as it looks like it has an aerial connection?

Check the gear knob, if there is a red button under the cap then its the very rare ejector seat option.

Can't say for sure. It doesn't look anything like the immobilizer I've been married to for 20 years...........Welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.....................Frankie
