Model of Z
3 litre Z3 pretending to be Italian exotica. Two previous E89 Z4s.
Local 'classic' show held at a garden centre every third Sunday of the month throughout spring/ summer.

Lots of cars. All sorts turn up. There was a G29 Z4 (classic??), a modified E86 Z4 and a little Z3 (which was the ONLY car to park the wrong way around). Obviously my Z3 was there but doesn't really count any more!

Did you talk to the driver?
He was disabled and needed access/space to his motorised wheel chair………

Sorry I missed you - it obviously packs up around 11.30?

I didn't see the driver of the Z3. I was too busy fending off people wanting to paw all over mine! ;)

My comment was just a light-hearted one, not a criticism.

I left around 11.45 and there were still many people there. I think it packs up around 1pm normally, as my next door neighbour organises it and he came home around 2pm.

I was talking to the chap with the E86 at a show at Retford a couple of weeks ago, gave him a Zroadster card.

'G29 Z4 (classic??)' A lot of the Classic shows also allow 'cars/vehicles of interest' and generally seem to accept 'sportscars' as long there aren't too many newer models.

Yeah OK, I get that, but where does it end? If I wanted to look at someone's G29, or mk3 Focus RS (there were 2 of those), I could just hang around any Sainsbury's car park for an hour. In the case of the Focus, it would have to be after dark, when they 'congregate' to see whose is the loudest and most obnoxious!!;)

As this one is a very local 'show'; it's more of a car 'meet', so anything goes. There were lots of very interesting (and very well restored) cars, but also lots of 'meh' cars too. Problem was that they ran out of room yesterday as so many turned up. So if this carries on, they will need to have some kind of 'criteria' otherwise it will just become another 'max power' event for all the kids and chavs, which it is not supposed to be.

For instance, there was a beautiful late '50s Corvette C1. It was stunning (although I forgot to take any pics of it). But it looked out of place parked next to a 1998 tatty Vauxhall Corsa. I am all for an 'eclectic mix', but there needs to be limits!
