I've always had a keen interest in anything automotive ever since I was young, my dad always had Imprezas when I was growing up, so it was always going to happen!
that makes me feel old!

welcome!

They do, if you know the right people!
20kg 5 inch springs is the shortest and hardest they do! To be honest, I've not really adjusted the dampening since they've been fitted, but on neutral the ride is fairly solid! Wouldn't reccomend it if you have any fillings, or a bad back
Would love to see a pic of how the spring sits in there when it's all back on the road - there's not much travel back there so this must be interesting!

I'd imagine it'll spin up and nice easy with such a hard rear set up, fun on smooth roads for sure!

@Lee you mentioned 20kg springs the other day, here's a man running them.

They're currently sat with no adjusters in the rear, just shock and Spring. It won't go anywhere near as low as I would like... I think it might be sat on bump stops, or the spring is that stiff that the travel and compression is naturally going to be much less. Not bothered about it being crazy low, as I'll just up a tyre size if needs be... I Will fully investigate as to why it's doing so over the coming days

The front can go lower, however after smashing one sump I may have learned my lesson.
Apologies for the potato quality photo

I had sat the old wing on there just for giggles before paint.
didn't quite work as well. Might look into different aero options at some point, however I'll keep it clean and simple for the time being

The Z doesn't seem to pull off big wings like the TT unless you go for a proper race car look

I have a few options in the pipeline. Will be a good 6 months before I even think about the aero. I'll enjoy how it is for now! However, that is phenomenal

Hi @M20bwp and welcome from me in Hertfordshir.

Like the fantastic blue Z.
IMO the spoiler that you've put on just to see what it looks like is just shouting "Hey look at me I used to be a race car" it's not subtle enough for a Z,
I do like spoilers on cars but the Z is hard to customise and add class, it's allready a classy car so you'll have a hard job pleasing the die hards. Even though mine is original BMW extra it seems to get a lot of neg reaction. Hope you find something that will actually add to the overall lovely curves of a great looking sports car straight out the packet. Here's my spoiler on my 1999 2.8 and it gets the car noticed and talked about, not really that popular as I believe there's maybe only a couple in the country, if not just the one.

Not to everyone's taste but just think of the benefit going round corners. (well that's what the salesman told me.:meh:)

Oh Roy you don't get neg reactions about your spoiler, it's each to there own mate, if you like your spoiler that's all that matters, bugger everyone else! I for one like your car mate, the owner can be a pain in the arse but we can live with that lol!! =))

Cars are a very subjective area. What someone may love, another may loathe. If you do things for yourself, and not to please others you will never go far wrong.

Just my 2 pence!
