inspired by @Simon Blythe i strapped my phone to my rear view mirror and made this video yesterday.

i'll be posting up simon's videos too for balance as his sounds different with the M50 manifold

this is the z3 induction kit i've built, standard M52 with standard exhaust

if thats the only reason then yes, i prefer the sound on mine. but i would probably prefer the extra 20bhp+ of yours
 
From those two videos, I can't tell much difference in the sound, other than @5harp3y shifting a lot later up the rev range than you @Simon Blythe. You both just have different driving styles.

I would not concede defeat with your manifold upgrade just yet!

Try going for a more spirited drive... you may yet still scare/impress yourself with the howl of your new kit!

I can't hear much difference either to be honest maybe its a recording issue as sounds to be lots of induction noise in both.
