Is it easy to relocate the electric roof switch from the rear panel between the seats to the front with all the other switches? There is a space available and I find it a bit awkward having to turn around to find it all the time!

Actually, I would imagine its just a case of extending the wires, using insulated blade terminals.
If you lift the handbrake gaiter, and the gearshift gaiter, you should be able to feed the wires through to the front panel with a wire coat hanger to pull them through and cable tie them to keep them to keep it tidy.

Well it really does not matter as surely you only put it down once in early spring and then back up again in late autumn!

The roof switch in my 2.8 is in the centre console.... And to be honest I would prefer my manual roof I just find it so much easier

Looks good......

But I wonder how many times you will turn round to drop the roof till you remember that the switch has been moved=))

That is easily done, just turn off the pump in the boot and it’s manual!

One of the first mods I did on mine was to move the switch. Makes life so much easier, especially after I broke a few ribs and just couldn't turn enough to have reached the switch. Bad enough having to ask for help with the catches.:(

How do you ensure your window folds correctly, I have a brand new window in and put a bad crease in it a few weeks ago, with the manual roof its easy.

i had to when it wasn't working.. but theres quite a bit of resistance even with the knob turned... probably better to disconnect the piston..

I think electric is nice to have when you want to close the roof quickly maybe in traffic etc... but i find that i have to put a crease in the window every time i open the roof anyway and have to get out the car to do that anyway... and get back in foot on brake etc...
how does everyone else lower electric roof..or does your window crease ok ?

I find when lowering the roof, if the window does not start to fold correctly I stop the roof, reach my hand over the back of the drivers seat and give the 'rear quarter' cloth a push outwards, that then causes the window to fold correctly and I dont need to get out.
