I was watching Whiskey Galore tonight on the BBC and it was crap, before you know what I'd downloaded the Proper Version and found it far more enjoyable despite the crackling soundtrack.

There's something about a black and white film.

Have you a favourite?
 
The 7 samurai a favourite and any Laurel & Hardy.

There's nothing like technology that needs several minutes to warm up! :thumbsup:

Our next door neighbour used to repair old tvs in his garage as a pastime. Me and the lad next door used to stand and watch in admiration as he prodded about inside these things and got them back up and working and displaying pictures again - that is until he said - "Never ever ever touch that bit there. If you do, you will shrink to six inches tall!" - For years I could never work out why there were never any six inch tall people. It worked though - taught us both respect for that stuff.
