Well, as Maurice said, it was bloody hot at Clumber Park today, we baled too around that time as the grandboys were wilting and to be honest us old uns were too. We didn't manage to get parked with the rest of the guys but went and had a chat with Ken and Sharon @Ontiken before we headed by to the cars for a picnic in the shade. 3 of us for father's day and it was Abbie's birthday too.

Super day and definitely one for the diary. Many thanks to Paul for bringing it to our attention sorry we didn't get to chat, apart from a quick hello. Kids were getting grumpy by then mate. Maurice told about his gearbox woes, hope you get that sorted a minimum cost mate!
All in all a great day and some fantastic cars to look at. See you all here next time, and I will be on the stand.

Tony.

Just one point I forgot to mention, when they were "guiding" me into a parking slot I made sure to leave well over a door's length for safety's sake between me and the next car. Idea being that when one pulled in on Shirl's side I could move mine over a foot if need be.;)

Tony.

ps. The place was rammed and even at the time we left there were more people pouring into the park than were leaving. A very well attended event. Wish all the money was in my pocket. I'd be buying an ///M tomorrow!:)

I may be wrong, but is that MG a TF or similar model. I'm not sure TBH.

I reckon the MGA was a more modern, monocque type design. Either way, it was a stunning car Dave, and our Xander liked it!

And the best bit is, we bought those Union Jack flag towels from an imigrant Indian guy in Florida at a Flea market. They were going to be adapted as seat covers to keep the suns heat of the leather on days like today Mike. Work in progress !! You should see our Gary's VW Crafter van, a right Pikey mobile !!=))=))

Great photos Tony. I had to endure the heat in a pubs beer garden with a few Desperados. Was horrible

Great photos Tony and that old MG looks like a TC to me, the TF had a sloping grill. As you say , there were very interesting motors to look at in every direction. I even spotted a Ginetta G15 that used to belong to my old school mate and the new owner had restored the colour back to original yellow. It was a rather grubby blue when my pal had it.
