Let's see if he honours his fans by dealing with the blatant greed of ticket prices. It was not full this weekend, and loads of unsold tickets they were trying to flog last week. If they increase next year, we ain't going.

certainly an interesting race and being a "tight wad" the only one I've watched live for ages!.

Not really a Lewis fan, but pleased for him this weekend. He earned it.

LeClerc/Ferrari - OMG, just can't get it right can they.

As for my points 😭

Well I was playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order.

A superb race with lots going on. Points may change if Max gets a penalty.

Ooo, wasn't Max a grumpy child! Go to your room, and no ice cream! =))

I'm "on the fence" with the whole team orders thing, but can't complain at the result, helped by actually getting a few predictions right for once.

Well Ocar lost out on the pit stops so fair shout IMHO. And yes Mad Max is a child that's always right. Reminds me of a young Schumacher. Didn't Hammy do well again though. 😁

What Hamilton did very well, was to not be intimidated by Versdicken. I look forwards to George Russell making life hard for him next year at Mercedes.

I think Max still trails Hamilton and Alonso on net worth. And lets not forget Jos is a multi-millionaire, former F1 driver, Anthony Hamilton was just skint! Btw, I'm not Lewis fan.

However, whilst all forms of motorsport revolve around money, it is usually about the amount that goes into it!

It supposed to be a sport, a game to win regardless of the cash, the trophy being the target.

As for Mclaren, well, Lando is now 7 points further away from the drivers championship. Tbh, Oscar should have said, "let Lando have it for the drivers championship". He couldn't make ground on Lando, Lando was faster. The win must feel false.

That same thing runs all the way to the bottom of motor sport too.
We used to run grass track racers years ago which was supposed to be "grass roots" entry level motor sport. But even that was spoiled by well off farmers chucking money at their sons toys just so they would win everything. Us hard up lads had no chance of competing with that.

Thing is Lando may yet need Oscars help towards the end of the season, so Hungry could be a banker.

But it makes it so much more satisfying when you beat one of them!

We had it in rallying, sponsor lent us a van, trailer and MK2 Escort, all we had to do was fund entry fees, fuel and keep it running. We'd be up against teams with single event budgets bigger than we could afford for the entire season! Actually finishing events when they had blown up and retired, was superb! Happy days.

We, my brother and me, had to buy everything, as did all the rest of the club. Agreed, it was satisfying to win against the rich kids but it was few and far between.
