Hi l'm starting a FB group for buying and selling Z3 parts in the UK and l am looking for a couple of volunteers to help with administration and membership approvals.. pls pm me if you are interested.. many thanks Alan

Sorry don't do Facebook :p
Other wise I'd helped :)

Looked at facebook one and could not find anything currant. Both the Org. one and the Net are good, do we need more ?

Certainly not going to do any harm Giving it a go Alan, good on you for setting it up.

Defo need somewhere for buying and selling as the forums don't get enough traffic and eBay is becoming a pain.

Agree there Tim, a dedicated selling page for Z's is better as it should get enthusiast traffic looking for parts.

Tony.

I've just joined the one Ian put the link on. Yep does look a bit more the other side of the pond but you may get what you need off it. It's only a bit of postage. I think a heavier traffic UK page would be good.

I currently run 2 Facebook groups and a forum, so have a fair bit of experience on this subject. You may end up getting more traffic through a Facebook selling group, but it takes an incredibly long time to build the numbers up. The quick way of getting the traffic/advertising is to let everyone from anywhere join, and it becomes another international selling page. Sticking to UK people only and it will build very slowly - it's taken 2 years to get just under 600 members on my UK Z3 Owners page (and a few overseas people were let in to build the group quicker).

Also being UK only means that people will miss out on potential overseas sales or purchases. The current Z3 selling page was started by a Brit, it's just there is a larger market in the US for parts. That's why it has a higher percentage of Americans selling on it.

But whatever happens, good luck with the venture.
