FA Cup Final

Happy as an Arsenal fan obviously but if I was a Villa fan I'd be gutted. One of the most one sided FA Cup finals I can remember seeing.

Come on The Arsenal :p
I was told it was a great game for the Arsenal fans :p
Alan was really pleased :p
Happy Men in my house :p

Great game Shelly, very one sided with one of the all time great FA Cup goals by Sanchez:thumbsup:

I bet Birmingham is a divided city after yesterdays events. The Bluenoses will be chuffed to bits and the Villans will be suicidal.
They didn't turn up though did they? Benteke is being touted as a target for the "top" clubs, but in my mind, the big players do it in the big games and he made no impact at all yesterday. There wasn't only him though

Yes Alan said it was a great game :p
I got the high lights from him when I got home from work :)
Also text messages when The Arsenal scored :p

I know what you mean, they didn't come out of the blocks and take it to Arsenal by which time the game was gone. Benteke, hmmmmm mm? Solid mid table club player at best.

The Arsenal .......... :p
2nd year in a row ........:p
To win the FA CUP :p
Well done :p

Especially the youngsters. My lad is a Reading supporter, I took him to Wembley for the play off final against Swansea a few years ago and lost 4-2. Good day but quite trip home:(

Yes I agree ......... :)
It isn't very nice for the other teams supporters :(
But that's footy , you never know what is going to happen :)
Look at Liverpool last week , how many they lost by , I'd never of thought that :(

I've been to a few cup finals over the years and have experienced the ups and the downs.

My last visit was to see Truro play Totton in FA Trophy Final which Truro won 3-0. It was only the second match to be played at the "new" Wembley Stadium.

Before I moved to Cornwall in 1995 I was a season ticket holder at Man Utd. I reluctantly gave up my season ticket at the end of 95/96 season purely because I couldn't afford the travel expenses. Good news though was that my brothers, brother in law took over my ticket and he got me tickets to the big games that I had to get too.

My best memory was Eric Cantona scoring the winning goal against Liverpool in the 96 final

My worst was any of the losing finals I've been to, and there's been a few of them. Arsenal and Everton in FA Cup Finals and Villa, Liverpool and Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup.

The journey home always seems twice as long when you've lost

My best memory was Eric Cantona scoring the winning goal against Liverpool in the 96 final

I enjoyed that too. I taught my eldest son to say "Ooh ah Cantona!" as soon as he could talk!!

A few years ago my brother asked me to get tickets for Ajax - Arsenal.
I had to get them on the black market and they cost me an arm and a leg and when I got them and told him, he asked "will we be sitting with the Arsenal supporters"?...........o_O
When that was a negative, he declined to come over, so I thought, I will just go with a mate of mine but then I got called to go abroad for my work, so I just gave my mate the tickets for nothing........
That same year I was back in the UK and spending a couple on nights at my brothers.
He has an extensive wine cellar with his wines lined up from 'plonk' (for when friends come round) to 'mega bucks' (personal use only)
Pay back time.
When he and his other half went off to work, I spent the best part of a day expertly changing labels from the 'plonk' to the 'mega bucks'.........:D
Talk about wine snobs, never heard anything about it......... but I will now, as he follows me on this forum.
:nailbiting:

:beer Bro.........

I've seen Ajax v Man Utd a few times. All in pre season friendlies at Old Trafford. I'd love to see them in proper competition. I've seen Utd play PSV in Champions League a couple of times

A mate of mine had tickets for AZ - Ajax.
We were sat with the AZ supporters and I told the other two to keep quiet if Ajax scored.
One of them did not and the beer rained down from above us. We were soaked.

I know what you mean. Took my lad to watch the FA Cup semi final Reading (his team) V's Arsenal (my team). He was under struck instructions not to mention I was and Arsenal Supporter sat in the Reading end! Had to give "polite" applause when they scored:whistle:

You still get beer at the stadiums over here, don't think you can in the UK these days?

lol, had a similar experience. My mate got tickets for Liverpool v Utd at Anfield and we were stood on the Kop. We were bricking it a bit to say to least and when Choccy McClair put Utd one up it kicked off. There were some other Utd fans who couldn't keep their emotions under wraps and had the crap kicked out of them. Thought I was going to get some too when Utd scored again and I jumped up, It only took a milli second to realise where I was though and I started shouting obscenities along with the scousers =))

You can get a beer but only in the concurs or in the "boxes" but it's served in plastic glasses

Plastic glasses over here to but you are in a 'Rugby Scrum' to get a pint.
